Watercolor Workshops in the Natureworks Garden
Join us this summer, as we observe and visually explore the design and color growing in the Natureworks Gardens. Whether you are an experienced artist or you’ve always wanted to try your hand at it, we have a spot for you. We will practice the basics of drawing and watercolor painting using the fresh flowers available in these gorgeous gardens as subject ma and you will discover your own mode of visual expression!
Tuesday mornings, from 10:00am-12:00 noon
Session I: June 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd
Session II: June 29th, July 6th, (skipping the 13th), 20th, 27th
Session III: August 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st
Supply list is light and can be purchased at any local craft or art supply store, or you can contact me and I will get them for you for a low additional charge.
Come on outside and enjoy the Natureworks gardens with us. It’ll be fun!
There will be 5 students per class for more individual attention. Alternate days may be added if enrollment requires.
This year’s price will be $125. for a 4 class session. Save your spot now by emailing or calling me at the address and number on this website.
A simple form requiring a $10 deposit to hold your spot will be emailed or snail mailed to you, along with a supply list or your consent to buy supplies for you at an additional charge.
Cindy Gilbane is a local artist who has worked in the area and painted from the Natureworks gardens for a very long time. After teaching art in schools for 15 years, she has since opened her own studio and teaches small groups there and at gorgeous places like Natureworks.
She has her masters in art and science from Wesleyan University and is an active member of the Guild of Scientific Illustrators, Greater New York Chapter with whom she exhibits annually. Many of her watercolors are on display at KCK Gallery in West Haven, CT.
